Version 3 of our website, a complete overhaul is now well underway and with the release of WHMCS V6 RC1 were going to look at some of the new features we are currently working into our site it’s an exciting time to be a customer with First2Host!.

We’re bringing reseller customers closer to their accounts than ever before. Making use of the new SSO (single sign on) feature you will now be able to add things like email accounts direct from your client area, logging into your account will now also be much easier removing the need to login to the server, just point, click and you’re in!. SSO will also be introduced into our forums mitigating the need to have separate accounts on each system with quick links to the forum when you get there your already logged in!

The client area will also be upgraded with a new graphical interface allowing you to manage resources much easier. With quick links for server resellers to provision new dedicated servers, upgrade options for resellers and a better more complete domain name management area.

Thanks to your feedback we’re also upgrading the server our website runs off to improve the speed of our API connections. Our API’s send your requests for reboots and OS reinstalls direct to your server. Currently the controls take a while to load inside the client area so we’re upgrading this server, which, brings me onto our next feature release.

Geo4 Location is a new system we have designed to better suit the needs of all of our customers collectively. With the release of our new dedicated server range were also releasing an upgrade to our hyper-visor which controls our master and slave nodes. Our vps server range will soon, with the release of v3 of our site allow customers to purchase servers in multiple locations. whilst your server stays on our hardware and even the same data centre we can manipulate where those IPs are actually located. assigning you IPs from, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Finland to name but a few! to the outside world your site and server looks like it's in the location of your choice. The first server to take advantage of this new feature will be our main website moving from the USA to the UK, but not actually moving at all! Unfortunately the full Geo4 Location system can only be implemented on vps servers but,

As some of our dedicated servers run below the hyper-visor our server range will also be included in this upgrade but to a lesser degree, after successful beta trials of Geo3 Location which allowed new customers to purchase dedicated servers in the USA, France and Germany were extending this to Canada.

Our new server range which has more than tripled in size will be available in either of these locations, we're looking to add UK based dedicated servers in the next update to our systems. Our new dedicated server range will now form four main sections, value, essential, hosting and SSD. Our hosting section for servers will now include the fantastic AMD Opteron which is just perfect for resource hungry sites and amazingly fast on virtualized servers. Some of our new dedicated server range will now also come with free licenses and.. up to 250 FREE IPs. We even have some SSD (Sold State Drive) servers for under £50/month
