Customer Announcement
Affects: Resellers - VPS Customers
Nodes: Alpha One, LocalHost, AlphaTwo, SS5
IP Range Updates
Last year, 2013 First2Host experienced massive growth, By late November as a group we had exhausted our supply of IPv4 addresses, As a consequence we had to apply to register our own private range of IP's. Because of the global shortage of IPv4's, this means as a group we need to hand back a large amount of our old IP's and swap them for our new private range IP's. Our new assigned range is 64.251.9.x
IP swaps are at best a headache unfortunately in this case we have no option but to comply and proceed with an IP update network wide. This means we will be swapping approximately 776 IP's. The IP swap affect the IP blocks ;
Resellers
64.251.13.x - SS5
VPS Users
64.251.13.x -Alpha Two Users
64.251.22.x - Alpha One Users
69.60.118.x - Local Host Users
If your node and the first 7 numbers of your IP is listed above then there's a good chance you will be receiving an email shortly with further details and new IP's. Because of the scare of the IP migration a new support department has been created and is now active as "IP Support" This support department will deal with all IP Migration issues, after the migration is completed this department will then be responsible for any issues related to IPv6.
Further information will be sent to the affected users soon.
