October Update
To start, Let's go into detail about what happened to Alpha One the other day, we have wrote in detail the exact issue and this can be accessed by going to http://d14.net/2TGC . Since that's resolved we will move onto the updates of the month.
Client Area Unblocking
Last month we withdrew the automatic unblocking of Ip's from our client area. The new version of CSF didn't want to allow outside unblocking. We have now fixed this error and the unblock feature is live in the client area again. > Support > Unblock IP
Upon logging into the client area the system will automatically check your current Ip is not blocked on our network of servers, If it is it will be removed and a message displayed to you. Some blocks can not be removed by Resellers or by simply logging into the client area, In this case you need to enter a support ticket. Your normally on the naughty list if you can't access the cPanel login page or see your website.
Different PHP Versions
We mentioned we where thinking of adapting the idea of allowing Resellers and Web Hosting customers to choose what version of PHP they wanted to use on there accounts a few months back. We have now started a Beta trial on SS5 which will allow all users to pick between 6 different PHP versions, Today a reseller mentioned he would need to spend a lot of time modifying scripts for the different PHP versions so it was time to get off the fence and do something about it. If you want this to be rolled our across all our servers then we need to know they its useful to you. Currently users on SS5 can pick between these versions of PHP
PHP 4.4.9
PHP 5.0.5
PHP 5.1.6
PHP 5.2.17
PHP 5.3.27
PHP 5.4.17 - (Server Default)
PHP 5.2.17 - suhosin
To have a play with this simply login to cPanel and look for the PHP Version icon. A beta forum has been created at http://d14.net/P0sl please post all comments relating to Beta testing into the forums.
